On Monday 7th October, Regis UK attended the annual Wella Professional TrendVision award ceremony.
It was a spectacular night with celebrations all round, as Regis UK walked away with not one but two awards!
Dawid Mielnik from Regis at James Bushell, Harvey Nichols Manchester was crowned the winner of the Colour Visionary UK award. Whilst Skye Holford from Regis Birmingham won the award for Xposure Creative Colour!
What is Wella TrendVision Award?
Hosted by Wella Professionals, the TrendVision Award is one of the most iconic and prestigious competitions in the hairdressing industry. It celebrates the exceptional talent of hair stylists across the UK and Ireland whilst showcasing the skill, craftmanship and creativeness within the hairdressing industry.
The 2024 final took place at Old Billingsgate, London overlooking the River Thames with iconic scenes of Tower Bridge and The Shard.
The Live Final Event
The live final of the Wella TrendVision awards is an opportunity to be inspired and celebrate the creative flair of stylists across the UK and Ireland. More than 600 people gathered at the final to see the 2024 finalists present their final looks and compete in their categories.
The night was filled with excitement and energy from guests and participants who worked throughout the year to get to this stage of the competition. Entries to the competition opened in April with judging taking place at the end of June.
The final was hosted by hairdressing great Fergal Doyle and presenter Laura Whitmore at the Old Billingsgate venue which consisted of a drinks reception to start with special themed games and activities to win prizes! This was then followed by the winner announcements, a luxury dinner and groundbreaking catwalk shows from influential artists across the globe. Guests were then able to celebrate with dessert canapes and dance the night away with a live DJ set.

The celebrations for Regis started early in the evening with Skye Holford from Regis Hair Salon Birmingham being revealed as the winner of the Xposure Creative Colour category, in collaboration with Kleek Apprenticeships. Skye is currently working with Kleek Apprenticeships, so this award is a fantastic achievement at the start of her creative career.
After her winning moment on stage, we spoke to Skye about her TrendVision experience and how she felt collecting her award.

The final award of the night was the Colour Visionary UK category. Team Regis were once again up on their feet in celebration as Dawid Mielnik from Regis at James Bushell, Harvey Nichols Manchester was crowned the winner in this category! Dawid participated in the national competition winning a finalist place along with 9 others out of over 600 stylists who initially entered the awards.
Dawid commented, “It was an amazing experience to participate in the Wella TrendVision competition, I felt so inspired by the talent around me. Winning this award means so much, and I can’t wait to further my creativity”
A big congratulations and special mention to all of our finalists this year. We are extremely proud to have had 4 stylists from Regis and 1 stylist from Supercuts make it to the live final.
