Ever spent 2 hours curling your hair just for it to drop out within an hour? The heartbreak... But we’re here to make sure your style lasts all night long! Not only do we have some gorgeous styles to show you, but we also asked our Creative Director, Kieron Fowles, what his top tips are when it comes to styling, and he told us that PREP is KEY! “Prep= longevity. In order to maintain a long-lasting finish, you must think about your preparation routine. Hair tends to style better on the 2nd day so be sure to wash your hair the night before you’re planning to style. Make sure you’re using the right products and using them correctly! Prep your hair with volume mousse and styling sprays / serums and blow dry these into the hair to build the foundation. Products coat around each strand of hair which helps to lock in the memory of the style when heat is applied. If you’re curling your hair, you really want to make sure the curls sit and cool down before you dress out, otherwise the curls won’t last as long. Hair will still have the memory embedded in the longer you leave the curls to sit before dressing.” So now you have your prep routine sorted, let’s get on to how you can create the below styles at home!
DIFFUSE & ENCHANCE
Learn how to enhance your curls using a diffuser!
Prep: Detangle the hair using a wet brush. Prep with Ghd Body Goals Total Volume Foam and scrunch into the hair to saturate the curls. Apply oil and curl cream into sections of the hair and twist to enhance the curl before diffusing. Mist Ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray into the mid lengths and ends of the hair to add moisture.
- Step 1: Apply diffuser attachment onto the Ghd Helios hairdryer. Tilt head backward gently and cup the hair with the diffuser at the nape using medium heat and speed.
- Step 2: Flip the head forward and repeat the same technique and dry the hair to 95%.
- Step 3: Using the cooling setting on the hair dryer, blast all the hair to soften the texture and set the curls.
- Step 4: Using the Ghd Thin Curl Wand, work through sections of the hair where you want the curls to be tighter and bouncier.
- Final step: Work Ghd Shiny Ever After through the hair to smooth flyaways and add a healthy shine. Then complete the look with a Texture Spray and a spritz of the Ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Spray to lift and hold curls.
LOOSE WAVES
Re-create Kim Kardashian’s class wave!
Prep: Lightly mist Ghd Curly Ever After into the hair to hold memory of the waves. Use Ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray before applying heat to the hair.
- Step 1: Divide the hair into 1-inch sections using a pintail comb for precision.
- Step 2: Using the Ghd Curve Tong, place the barrel around the hair away from the face and alternate sections, working one forwards and one backwards. Once the hair is wrapped around the tong at the root with the nose pointing down, glide off the base at 0˚, twisting the tong until you reach the ends.
- Step 3: Wrap the front sections of the hair away from the face to frame and give shape.
- Final step: Work Ghd Shiny Ever After through the hair to smooth flyaways and add a healthy shine. Finish the look with a Texture Spray and spritz Ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Spray onto a wide toothed comb and begin to dress the curls to create shape and soften texture.

Prep: Lightly mist Ghd Curly Ever after into the hair to hold memory of the waves. Use Ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray before applying heat to the hair.
- Step 1: Divide the hair into 1-inch sections using a pintail comb for precision.
- Step 2: Using the Ghd Curve Tong, wrap the section around the barrel and hold for a few seconds. Make sure to hold the curl and let it cool before dropping for longevity. Alternate the direction you wrap the hair around the barrel between each section to give shape.
- Step 3: Wrap the front sections of the hair away from the face to frame and shape.
- Final step: Spritz Ghd Shiny Ever After onto a dressing brush and begin to dress the curls to create shape and soften texture. Finish with a Texture Spray and a spritz of Ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Spray for a firm hold.
GLIDE SMOOTH
Effortlessly smooth out your curls for a sleek, straight finish!
Prep: Apply Ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray over the surface of the hair and a light pump Ghd Smooth & FInish Serum through your mid lengths and ends.
- Step 1: Create a side part and divide the hair into sections using a pintail comb for precision.
- Step 2: Grab a 1-inch section of hair and place the Ghd Glide Hot Brush underneath and slowly run it from root to ends. Repeat the technique throughout the rest of the hair, making sure to angle the brush to create shape.
- Step 3: At the crown, direct the hair upwards to create extra volume at the root.
- Final step: Complete the look with a final pump of Ghd Smooth & Finish Serum to add shine and smoothen and a spritz of Ghd Perfect Ending Final Fix Spray for a firm hold.
