Hair Trends to Watch Out For in 2025

If you are looking to start the new year with a new style, then look no further than our 2025 trend book. We spoke with our Creative Director, Kieron Fowles, to get insider knowledge on what is going to be trending in 2025.

Cuts and hairstyles

Bobs

The bob will continue to lead the trends for 2025. This trend can vary in length and can be worn in any finish, from cheekbone to shoulders, smooth, tousled, wavy or textured. The possibilities are endless with a bob! Take inspiration from celebrities such as Zendaya and Gigi Hadid and many more who are experimenting with this versatile trend.

Bangs & fringes

You will see fringes or bangs on many lengths and styles of hair this year, from bobs to mid and longer lengths. Although bangs are not for everyone, they are versatile and can be paired with any length or finish of hair. It is always best to consult your stylist on what is best for your face shape, hair density and texture so they can design and customise something suitable. Celebs such as Sabrina Carpenter, Emily Ratajkowski, Taylor Swift and Daisy Edgar Jones always serve great looks with their bangs.

Long, lived-in layers

Low maintenance and lived in layers will be popular this year. This trend is all about soft loose and effortless layers that look natural and grow out beautifully. Texture sprays and dry shampoos can add more texture to your long layer styles, or you can glam it up with soft glass glossy waves.

Natural and minimal texture

Opting for a natural curl and wave will continue to rise in 2025. This trend encourages the natural movement and texture of the hair. Celebrities such as Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus and Jade Thirwall have all been seen to flaunt their natural texture with minimal finish. To achieve this trend, load up your hair with leave in hydrating creams and masks making sure they are distributed evenly. Dry with a diffuser to lock in the natural texture. You want it to look maintained but not too over styled. If needed use a small curling tong to create more definition and control.

Bouncy blow outs

The bouncy blowout is becoming popular again with many opting for that glass bouncy look that is full of shine. Many hair stylists and creatives have been going for a more retro feel by setting the hair with rollers and pinning the hair for that vintage, glamour feel. Take a look at the likes of Sabrina Carpenter or Kaia Gerber who can be seen wearing a more modern bouncy blow out with less volume at the root and more bounce through the mid lengths and ends

Colour

Colour Melting

This trend celebrates the multi-dimensional effects int he hair and can be adapted to many shades and colours. It’s all about creating tones that contrast beautifully together and compliment your natural base colour, then blending into light or deep tones to create a melted colour that isn’t flat. There will be some many variations of this technique and trend. We will see this for blondes, brunettes and reds for 2025 which makes colour melting so versatile and makes the hair look vibrant and full of life.

Balayage

The balayage will still be running strong but with more of a minimalist approach that gives a sun-kissed, barely there feel to the hair. This will be worn on every hair colour, from brunette to blonde, all opting for that natural approach that works complementary to your base shade.

Dark Espresso

A lot of celebrities are opting for that rich all over colour that can range from dark chocolate to black brown. It’s giving shiny, glossy and rich. Think of celebrities such as Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez who flaunt this hair colour all year round.

Buttery blonde

Warm undertones are leading the way, particularly for blondes. We'll see a lot more warmer, golden palettes that accentuate the hair’s natural colour. Some even opting for a natural or shade root that drifts into a lighter warmer blonde or from root to tip a warm blonde with dimensional contrasting blondes. It can be light to vintage dusty blondes.

Worn hair

We will continue to see a lot of worn colours being carried through to 2025. This can range from soft seamless placement to grown out matured tonal and dimensional placements. This gives the hair a cool girl, grunge feel and can also be worn in many tonal palettes. Better yet it’s low maintenance and works well with a bit of root but still having that pop of dimension and colour to stop the hair from looking flat

Reds

Reds will still be making a scene in 2025, but they will start to venture back towards a lighter golden side. From strawberry blonde to warm marigold.
